WHAT I AM DOING
Parker's Eagle
Plan Summary:
My Eagle Service Project will help the City of Lakeway meet its goal of having 1,300 Curb Inlet Markers installed around the greater Lakeway Area spanning over a 3 year period. I will accomplish this by mobilizing the Boy Scouts to install approximately 450 markers in the Rough Hollow Neighborhood.
Training and Preparation: I have completed training with the City of Lakeway on how to install the markers, and have already installed curb inlet markers at several locations independently over a few days of work to be sure I was familiar with the system. I am now prepared to lead my team of scouts efficiently and effectively on the final project day once all of the plan details have been organized and communicated to my team.
Project Budget and Materials: The City of Lakeway will supply the Inlet Markers and the supplies necessary for the installation. No additional project materials will be needed.
Day of Expenses: I will self-fund lunch for my team along with any miscellaneous expenses. The money will come from my personal savings account where I have been saving money from odd jobs, cutting and trimming lawns, pet sitting and gifts.
Additional Activities: I will also be working together with the City of Lakeway Environmental Coordinator, participating in community outreach programs and presentations to help support the City of Lakeway Water Quality Awareness Campaign.
Beneficiary Approval: The plan has already been approved by the City of Lakeway, who will be the service project beneficiary.
I am offering this plan for approval by Troop 52 Leadership, the Capitol Area Council and the Bee Cave District of the Boy Scouts of America.
